Please take a minute to read this before you write ✦

1

Keep it human and authentic

Write the way you would speak to someone you care about: with honesty, care, and without judgment. What someone really needs is a friend, not perfect or borrowed words.

2

Start from where you were

Begin with your experience, then followed by the lesson. Being vulnerable about the hard part is what makes the hope believable.

3

Offer perspective, not advice

Share what helped you see things differently, and what you wish someone had said when you were standing in that same place.

Please do not include

  • Medical or clinical advice
  • Graphic descriptions of trauma (Focus on the path forward instead)
  • Names of specific people/places, or promotional content
  • Religious, political, or inflammatory content
  • Anything you would not say to a loved one going through a difficult time
