About the Project
We are a library of heart and hope by strangers, for strangers.
Where it began
This project exists because of a feeling most of us know all too well: the feeling of going through something hard and wondering if anyone else has ever felt the way you do. The internet is full of advice, but sometimes what you really need are genuine words of reassurance from another human. Someone to say: I've been there. I understand how you feel. You're going to be okay.
With everything happening in the world, and how alone everyone seems to feel, finding the right words when you need them most has never felt harder. So I started this- our own shared Neighborhood Mailbox, where distance is non-existent, everyone is your neighbor, and letters of hope are always waiting for you. Every letter here was written by someone who once needed to read it.
We are building this archive one letter at a time, hoping each one finds the person it was meant for. I hope the letter meant for you finds you.
Welcome to our neighborhood. Here, no one is alone.
Your neighbor,
Dee

If you have been through something hard and come out the other side with something worth saying, we would be honored to give it a home here. Someone is waiting to find it.
